The Indian National Olympiads (INOs) in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Junior Science are scheduled for February 3rd and 4th, 2024 (INJSO, INAO, INChO, INPhO, and INBO). Organized by HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education), except for INJSO, which is organized by IAPT (Indian Association of Physics Teachers), these examinations are conducted at approximately 18 centers nationwide.

INOs Eligibility Criteria: Plan Your Participation

For Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics:

To participate in the INOs for these subjects, applicants must be Indian citizens, with OCI students eligible until the OCSC stage, subject to qualification. The date of birth should fall between July 1, 2004, and June 30, 2009. Residency and study in India since November 30, 2021, or earlier is a must, or enrollment in an Indian school system since the specified date. Crucially, candidates should not have passed the class 12 board examination earlier than November 30, 2023, and must not have commenced university studies by June 1, 2024.

For Junior Science:

Similar eligibility criteria apply to Junior Science participants. Indian citizenship, eligibility for OCI students until the OCSC stage, and a birthdate between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2010, are prerequisites. Residence and study in India since November 30, 2021, or earlier, or enrollment in an Indian school system since that date, are mandatory. Notably, candidates should not have completed the class 10 board examination earlier than November 30, 2023.

International Olympiads Selection Requirements

Aspiring candidates eyeing a spot in the Indian team for international Olympiads must possess a valid Indian Passport before the Orientation-cum-Selection Camp (OCSC). The passport should remain valid for at least six months after the relevant International Olympiad. Fulfilling these additional requirements is pivotal for eligibility and participation in the international rounds of the Olympiads. Plan and prepare with precision for a successful Olympiad journey!
